You have not been sufficiently clear as to what you want to know. If a person requests for information under the RTI Act, 2005, the concerned department is bound to provide the same normally within 30 days of the request, provided that the information is not deemed to fall in the category of information that is not open to disclosure. However, if the department fails to do so, the person seeking the information can lodge a complaint with the CIC. In that case he/she has to provide his/her address alongwith the complaint, verification of which is under the purview of the CIC. If the department is not satisfied about the bon fide of the person seeking the information, it may refuse to provide it on the grounds that such information is liable to misuse in the hands of such a person.
