Actually I would just go and get the Series of “Dummy” books in those subjects because if you know little about them they are great…

    Good luck with the venture

    Micro-economics: “Microeconomics” Besanko/Braeutigam

Macroecoomics: “Macroeconomics” Abel/Bernanke (yes - that Ben Bernanke). This is far and away the best and clearest written macro book I’ve read.

    Accounting: “Financial Accounting” Stickney/Weil
    and “Financial Accounting” by Libby/Libby/Short

IPOs. Well, this is a really, really small subsector of financial markets. You’re better of reading a capital markets book. Let me recommend this:
“Captial Markets” Fabbozzi/Modigliani (as in Miller & Modigliani)
If you want something lighter, try:
“Introduction to Capital Markets”: Chisholm & Chisholm

A great textbook for accounting is Kieso, Weygandt, and Warfield’s - Intermediate Accounting.
