How do I get in on VISA IPO?

IPO
Freeda asks:

I don’t want to wait till it goes on exchange when the price may go up to 70-80 dollar range

I would like to purchase V at its IPO price.

Who do I go to? Fidelity? Bank of America?

What’s my best option if I want to put down around $10K - $15K?

Thanks

Any broker will do. This is a big IPO so there should be plenty to go around.

    Talk with a broker!

Read the ENTIRE VISA IPO prospectus SEC filing,
    THEN contact their UnderWriters:

    J.P. Morgan Securities Inc.,
    Goldman, Sachs & Co.,
    Banc of America Securities LLC,
    Citigroup Global Markets Inc.,
    HSBC Securities (USA) Inc.,
    Merrill Lynch,
    Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated,
    UBS Securities LLC and
    Wachovia Capital Markets, LLC

Fidelity is in on the IPO. You can partake if you have a $500,000+ account with them.

Chances are, you are not going to be able to.

The way it works is ..

Each underwriter is given a certain number of shares to distribute. Most of them are going to give them to their top tier clients.

you might be able to get a few shares (under 10) from someone who wants to use their allocation of shares to open new accounts, but even this is unlikely.

Most of us are limited to buying it in the open market after it comes out - which may be a lot higher price than the IPO.
