One of the first trading rules I was taught AND LEARNED:

NEVER, EVER have more than 10% in any one stock.

This means 10% of your trading account AND more than 10% in any one position.

In either event you are far too vulnerable and you have far too much exposure.

This would be like “putting all your eggs in one basket”.

If the trade goes against you and you lose money, it may take several partials to sell all your shares.

The brokers have more money and control than any one investor.

You can ALWAYS add to your position at a later time.

Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it!
