    Hi,

    As the Visa IPO is eagerly awaited, it will probably be a growth stock.

    Looking at Mastercard’s historical stock prices, you’ll find the stock has returned 119.4%, which blows the S&P 500 index’s 3.5% return for the same period out of the water.

    In fairness though, that 119% isn’t a good representation of what the stock will do in the future, as it hasn’t been trading publicly very long.

    So, really, concerning the prospects for Visa, it’ll be a wait-and-see game for quite some time.

    Personally, I wouldn’t touch the stock.

    You create wealth by investing for the long term, not by buying in and out of “hot” stocks. Doing the latter will surely cause you a lot of potentially sleepness nights.
