MC was a great IPO, Vonage is the worst IPO ever announced. It may generate some interest early but put a stop loss on it if/when you buy and don’t go nuts on it. Its part of the tech rally now going on. It may make a pop but it won’t be a goggle. Don’t expect it much from it but be prepared to get out quick on it as well.
SAIC is a solid company that appears to be going public for the right reasons.
I see no reason, however, to try to jump on board on offering day. The stock can be very volatile for the first few days.
If you are trying to flip it, of course, that would be a different story.
But good IPOs tend to offer decent buying opportunities several days to several weeks out from the offering. I expect SAIC will be no different.
I was also considering buying it. I’m watching it next week to see if there is some short term profit takers that jump out then I’ll take there shares.
