Visa IPO?

IPO
Mei asks:

Where do you think it’s headed? In this economy it’s hard to predict, but it’s IPO was incredible. It seems like it should rise quite high over the next couple months. I’m not an expert, but I would like to hear from one. Even an amateur would be nice.
I don’t want to wait, I want to get right in there. I appreciate the response, but if you check back and see this juts throw in a guess where you think it’s going.

in today’s market, everything is sentiment driven. any news that come out affects the way the market reacts. when the news about the subprime mess came out, the US stock market began tumbling down, and the rest of the world followed.
it’s actually quite surprising that VISA’s IPO came out well. One of the probable reasons might be the soundness of the company. Visa’s still the biggest credit card company and we know how it performed over the years. Where it’s headed, we are unsure of. It might have an incredible IPO but the market will dictate where it goes. If investors still see financials being threatened by the US recession and subprime mess, then maybe VISA just jad a stellar performance on its IPO and then nothing more. Let’s wait how it does on its first trading day. =)

Wall street analysts need something to talk about, so they’ll say this and that about Visa, but bottom line is…it’s solid. Get in now, it’ll be slow and steady, and then expect a major surge suring the Summer 08 Olympics.

As a major sponsor of the event and with the Visa logo on every TV set on planet earth for 2 weeks, it’ll be hard to keep them down.
